Low Country Boil Event It’s always nice to see our community come together, and yesterday was another great event. I want to thank Denny and Michelle Hopkins for opening their beautiful home, sharing it with 32 members of our community. Denny and Michelle outdid themselves, as they were seen early morning getting things set up. Denny had the “Main Course” set up by the garage and Michelle had everything placed perfectly upstairs. With an island full of side dishes and breads and another large counter of desserts, we all filled our plates and went downstairs for the main course “Low Country Boil? A table filled with corn on the cob, steamed shrimp, boiled potatoes, and sausage seasoned with Old Bay for all to admire and consume. Drainage Project Getting Started CPP has 3 major concerns to be addressed in the next couple of months. After 5 long years of discussing the drainage concerns within our community, a resolution is soon to begin. I want all to know that after many discussions regarding options, the drainage committee has made a decision that works. Larry Moorer has volunteered his time to run a medium sized excavator with rubber tracks that can maneuver over the ditches with the least amount of damage to our yards. Sean Maharrey has used his company resources to secure renting the excavator for the month of October, as well as the appropriate bucket to get the job done correctly. Roger Goodman has also offered to loan his Dump Trailer, so we won’t have to rent one. The board approved 5,000.00 for this work which is 20% of the lowest bid we were able to [...]

Minutes from the Special Meeting held August 19 have been posted to the Community Portal for your review. In summary. A committee was appointed to work out details for the front gate and report back with options to be voted on. This committee meets tonight (8/28/21) to discuss. Their plan is to have everything ready for a presentation to homeowners within 30 days. Further, we began the long awaited discussion on revisions to the current By-Laws and Covenants. I found it interesting that many of these were actually accepted at the last - all or none - vote, over 5 years ago. The discussion allowed us to present and vote on each item and accept the items that are voted on in the affirmative. I am trusting we can get this one behind us. The Parler’s were kind enough to let us know The School Bus will be picking up Parker (their son) at 6:20am, and dropping him off each afternoon at our main gate between 3:00- 3:15pm . Tiffany will be driving a black BMW and waiting inside the gate for the school bus arrival. As whether allows, they may also be walking and standing at the gate, as they wait. I just wanted to make all of our homeowners aware and hope you will use extra caution during this time during our school year. We all want to take care of the kids within the neighborhood. Special Meeting Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 6:30pm PURPOSE of MEETING: Front Gate Entry Discuss and vote on front entry gate redesign. We hope to have a budget for this project and discuss any changes, revisions, etc. If we can come to a consensus on design and approve to move forward, then we can all vote as a community. By Laws and Covenants as revised a few years ago. The revised By Laws have been sent out to everyone via the CPP Website for your review. I recommend you review the suggested revisions in red, print them out and bring them to the meeting so we can all discuss together.
